Valletta is a city to discover for its incredible diversity and charm,..a rowdy market, a shopping haven and an open air museum of art and architecture. The local market or better known as ‘ is-suq’ is merely a 5 min walk from this property, and so is the the St. John’s Co Cathedral, a gem of baroque art and architecture and home of the Knights of Malta.

A selection of cafes grace the majestic piazzas across the city, whilst a range of restaurants provide gastronomique pleasure.

If you’ re feeling lazy on a crisp sunny day, why not jump on the popular horse drawn carriage ‘ karozzin ‘. A graceful form of transport that will allow you to enjoy the sights of the city outskirts and inner roads whilst the cabby driver tells stories from the past.

The capital sits on a peninsula, so almost everywhere you go allows you to see the Mediterranean popping up from different angles. Then there are also the peripheral roads, which provide spectacular panorama after panorama, as the old horse and its cheerful driver take you along the shore and past Grand Harbour and Marsamxett Harbour

From Valletta, one can reach any town and village in Malta within 30 minutes, or less, by the many taxis found around the city entrances, or by public transport, which can take a bit longer due to the stops along the way. Nevertheless, we can organise private transfers by our careful and smart drivers that can pick you up from outside the Palazzo.
